autumn 3-day rug tufting bootcamp

This is a weekly 3 day class (10 hours total)

This class runs Sundays, Oct 5th, 12th & 19th from 6:00-9:30 PM.

You will learn the basics of rug tufting and create a 32 inch rug to take home to hang or admire from above.

• Doors Open @ 5:45 PM
• Class Begins @ 6:00 PM
• Anyone arriving after we have started may not be granted entry and will need to reschedule or cancel (Please see our Rescheduling, Cancellations & Refunds Policy below)

Participants will:

• Select an image of their choice to send the studio
• Receive an overview of the projection transfer process
• Begin to transfer to their selected image to the fabric
• Receive 1 on 1 global and individual feedback and hands on help
• Receive an overview of machine tufting and techniques
• Begin tufting practice and then working on their rugs
• Receive 1 on 1 global and individual feedback and hands on help
• Receive an overview of finishing for wall-hanging or floor rug
• Back and finish their rug
• Receive an overview of detail hand carving and leveling
• Hand carve and level rug pile
• Leave with an experience and a pro-finished 32in. rug

Day 1

• introduction to tufting
• using the machine
• individual practice
• first day working on project

Day 2

• continue working on project
• learn how to latex the back of your rug

Day 3

• apply slip-resistant layer of fabric to the back of project
• instruction to general finishing, trimming, and carving

Preparing for the Session:

• Images should not be TOO detailed. Try to avoid:
• Complicated color gradients
• Fine line details or lots of line work

Rescheduling, Cancellations & Refunds:

We understand things come up, so we want to provide our attendees with some options. You can also read more about why we have these policies in place.

Cancellations

• Cancellation requests confirmed seven (7) days before the event start time may receive a 100% refund.
• Cancellation requests confirmed between seven (7) days and 48 hours of the event start time may receive a partial refund of up to 50%.
• Cancellation requests not confirmed before 48 hours of the event start time will result in the forfeiture of any refund.

Rescheduling

• All rescheduled tickets must be booked within 90 days of the original event.
• Rescheduling requests confirmed seven (7) days before the session may be rescheduled with no additional fees.
• Rescheduling requests confirmed within seven (7) days and 48 hours of the event start time will incur a 30% fee. 
• Rescheduling requests not confirmed 48 hours before the event's start time may be eligible for up to 20% off the purchase of replacement tickets, up to the value of the original purchase. 

Late Arrival & No-Show

• Late arrival to class cannot be accommodated and will necessitate rescheduling. You may be eligible for up to 20% off the purchase of replacement tickets (up to the value of the original purchase) or the option to cancel without a refund.
• A no-show will be considered a cancellation, resulting in the forfeiture of any refund.
