Workshop Return & Rebooking Policy: Explained

Fee Explanation:

These policies and fees are not in place to punish customers or make things more complicated, but they protect a small business from losing revenue agreed upon in the simple contract of booking a ticket.

The Short Explanation:

  • The cost for your original ticket is transferred to the purchase of your new ticket for the rescheduled date. A fee is charged and used to cover a portion of costs the original ticket would have covered in the likelihood that ticket won't be resold.

The Long Explanation:

  • If a customer purchases a ticket, that ticket is no longer available to another buyer.
  • If that ticket is purchased for a full class where tickets are no longer available and then rebooked or returned, it is assumed that this ticket would have likely sold in the timeframe it was not available and in the possession of the original purchaser.
  • If that ticket is returned to the purchasing pool and not purchased, the business assumes a loss.
  • If the original purchaser requests a rebooking, then a second ticket is no longer available to another buyer and is now in the possession of the original purchaser.
  • In this case, the purchaser has, in a roundabout way, received a "buy one ticket, get one free" deal, and the business has lost the revenue for one ticket.

It is also not the legal responsibility of any business to offer refunds, exchanges, or rebookings. This is a choice made by the business to alleviate the strain of a customer making a purchase and keeping an appointment. Tuft Stuff has opted to offer an option for returns and rebookings in hopes customers will take into consideration the responsibility of the booking and not abuse the policy allotted.
